Careers in fashion design (CFD) course
SO TELL ME SOMETHING,
Have you ever wondered what are the most promising fashion design jobs?
Have you ever toyed with the idea if a fashion designer can go onto become a well-paid UI or graphic designer?
Do you love fashion but don’t want to be designing clothes, instead want to explore styling or VM as a career?
Have you been hearing a lot about Clo 3d, but aren’t sure what it really is?
If you’re a fashion student or professional, chances are that these questions have bothered you at some point of time.
Let’s face it, while pursuing a fashion career can be fun and exciting, navigating the maze of this industry alone can be daunting. The industry is riddled with several misconceptions and career opportunities are believed to be limited to one or two conventional options. And sadly, even after studying or working in fashion space for few years, you feel lost, helpless and intimidated.
You see, while design school teaches you the academic knowledge and fashion job imparts experience, there is hardly any guidance on BUILDING THE RIGHT DESIGN CAREER.
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.
Imagine that you exactly knew which design career to pursue. If you had the industry-backed knowledge to weigh the pros and cons of each career; and map it to your strengths and aspiration to figure out the best path for yourself.
IN 14 YEARS OF MY CAREER,
I worked with several designers who either continued to pursue fashion design or ventured into other design related roles across the industry, from startups to multinational companies.
And I noticed that designers thrived in various profiles, be it at large reputed brands like Lifestyle and Raymonds or at lesser-known brands of mid and small size.
I used this knowledge and my experience to guide several students and working professionals (ex- students) to chart out their career path during my teaching career at NIFT, INIFD and FDDI.
And honestly, I have made many mistakes and suffered several setbacks figuring out my own career path; and it took lot of trial and error to finally find the right direction.
I have distilled all my years of learning, knowledge and experience into this course to help students and working professionals like you, excel in their fashion career journey.
